Set goals! Train for something! I’ve added 3 new links to the left navigation panel. If you are close-by find a race, event, or fundraiser that you can participate in and sign up! Having a deadline is one of the best ways to achieve your goals.
Followers who live elsewhere, google…races, cycling and running, outdoor events, etc. and you will find numerous websites listing your local events.
Last year, my daughter’s senior project was to hike the Grand Canyon from the North to South Rim in one day. I wasn’t so sure about this goal. First of all, it is basically a marathon distance, but with extreme elevation changes and no fuel stops along the way (I love races where those wonderful volunteers refuel and encourage you every 3 miles!) So, I assumed that I wouldn’t be invited. However, my husband and daughter insisted that me and her older sister attend! At this point, I’m determined that I WILL train for the event effectively so that I WILL NOT have to be rescued!
The outcome was great. We all made it and are now able to check that off of the Bucket List. Please see video and links.
