One of the Wellness dimensions is “Occupation.” When seeing this word, we can either have feelings of excitement and pride, or feelings of dread. Which do you have? Of course, we all have bad days, but when the bad days far outnumber the good days, maybe it’s time for a change. For my first job out of college, I worked in a vault with a government clearance. After coming off of a very social 4 years of college including following sports-teams all over the country cheering, working in an isolated environment with very little human interaction made me depressed. I took the small-step approach in finding another occupation. Each week, I would take another step in acquiring a job suited better for me…taking personality inventories, looking up job opportunities, hiring a head-hunter, interviewing, and finally finding a job that fit what I needed: Right salary, close enough to home, lots of interaction with people, and a reasonable boss. This process can take months, but it is well worth spending the time and energy needed to find happiness in your occupation. Sometimes even thinking about making a change can cheer you up!

Beverages: Normal 70-90 ounces water, 2 cups coffee in AM, large unsweetened tea in PM
Exercise: Trail Run 6 miles with Cocoa,
Breakfast :
• Yogurt with Berries
Lunch:
• Treated myself to Sushi and Seaweed Salad. California rolls and spicy tuna rolls
Snack: Huge bowl of homemade popcorn (on stove with oil). Salted
Supper:

Great article on seaweed salad and it’s benefits. If you haven’t ever tried one, DO IT! I love the taste!
