Holidays are not the best of times for many people who could be suffering from loss, illness, financial difficulty, or loneliness. If you have a close friend or family member experiencing any of these, it is always helpful to show “empathy” instead of “sympathy”. My husband and I spent most of the day at the hospital with granddad who had spine surgery. We are so blessed that everything went well! God is Good! We enjoyed a celebration dinner at a local italian restaurant where I ordered my favorite vegetarian dish, eggplant parmesan. It is a little fatty, but delicious!
