Summer is almost here! It is time to get outside and enjoy this warm weather! Each year I encourage you to step out of your “exercise comfort zone” and try something new to burn those calories. Last summer I posted a picture of yoga on paddle boards in the ocean. Very challenging, but very fun!
This year, I tried a cycling class in the pool! The resort had special bikes made for the water. I was amazed by how different I felt than in a regular spin class. I was able to get my heart rate in my training zone, so the cardio benefits were there. But in addition, we used the resistance of the water to get a good overall muscle toning workout including legs, core, and arms. Really fun!
When you are on vacation, instead of renting power equipment (jet skis, golf carts, etc.), rent bikes, paddle boards, kayaks and or any equipment that requires effort! You will have fun and also reap the health benefits!
